If punk meant being
yourself and standing up for yourself and what you believed in then Wayne/Jayne was one of
the most honest exponents. Whatever label you put on it he stood up for
what he believed in and had the guts to confront prejudice be it musical or
sexual and do what he wanted to do. I have no idea of what it is like to
feel trapped by the sex you are born with or the need to want to change it
surgically to feel at peace.
