Siouxsie & The Banshees | Bromley Contingent

Member of the Bromley Contingent and early Pistols fan. Dubbed the Ice Queen of punk and later on the princess of goth. Neither tag she liked !!!.Played the their first gig as Siouxsie and the Banshees at the 100 club punk festival in 1976 with a 15 minute version of the Lords Prayer. She was a scene stealer and original face for loads of punkettes.

Famous for her high leg kicking on stage as well as her  nazi salutes and in her career has been adorned with such extreme images as swastikas and the Star of David. One of the leading lights of female Punk with Cleopatra looks. Appeared on the infamous Bill Grundy interview (see page on Bromley Contingent). Portrayed in the media as stand-offish and remote but in reality down to earth and friendly with the fans. After 20 years in the band as The Sex Pistols reunited to play gigs she called it a day. She now lives in France with husband and fellow Creature Budgie
