Charlie who worked in a record pressing plant in
Battersea . It was she after seeing a Melody Maker ad for
bands who rang up Lee Wood of Raw records and on the
basis of a 45 minute phone call persuaded him to sign
them without seeing or hearing them. I don't think Lee
knew what was coming as the band cut 4 tracks for Raw.
Two of them seeing the light of Day on Raw Deal.
The
subject matter was sadomasochism on 'Bondage Boy' ("I don't give a fuck what you do ...I'm gonna knock
the shit out of you") socio political commentary
'Kids On The Street' (rhyming "breaking all the
laws" with " fucking whores") .The two
that weren't released were 'Sleeping With The Dead' and
'Antisocial' a paean to VD and anal sex. Charming though
the band was they never got their deserved spot on Songs
Of Praise !!!!
