the 18 year old black, spiky haired Jan Parker (pictured here as
a blonde in 1980) they were on the scene from the middle of 1978 without
really getting anywhere. They released no records and their one bit of
press came when Jan sang with Alex Fergusson in the Cash Pussies for a
Sid Vicious benefit in 1978. They were big favourites of Gary Bushell in the late 70's, he described Jan as "...a white version of the wonderful Poly Styrene" and Charlie Harper whom they often supported ( too old for him!!). The latter tried to get them to change their name which they did for a week !!!! |
