Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols
October 1977. Chart Position No1

One of the few bands to have a first album as a greatest hits album! I personally don't think it has dated that badly.  I don't give a toss about over production. This is the real thing. Every song a goodie spat out with the fury and energy they deserve. If you haven't got it buy it now.  Features Problems, Liars, Bodies, E.M.I, Lazy Sod, Submission, No Feelings, Seventeen, their put down of the New York Dolls , New York and of course all four singles to boot.

No One Is Innocent  / My Way
June 1978. Chart Position No6

Noticeable drop in quality as Ronnie Biggs takes on vocal duties to another great riff. Surpassed though by Sid's finest moment on the other side as he gives perhaps the best interpretation of My Way in the style of his friend Johnny Rotten. Inspired  film sequence for My Way in the Great Rock'N'Roll Swindle.

The Great Rock 'N' Roll Swindle
February 1979 Chart Position No7

Its here by virtue of all the early demos captured like raw versions of Anarchy In The UK, Stepping Stone, No Lip, Roadrunner & Substitute. Has many low points such as Friggin In The Riggin but worth it I suppose for Sid's brief stabs at glory. Selling the Pistols name like a cheap whore.

One of Malcolm's alleged scams apart from selling the European record rights to different companies and releasing the records before they were available in England was releasing the early demos done with Chris Spedding and Dave Goodman on two bootleg albums with roughly the same tracks called No Future and Spunk. Spunk came out just before Bollocks was released much to Virgin's consternation. Malcolm denied any involvement. These tracks are well worth investigating.
