You know I've been waiting a long time for someone to write an article and at
last its happened. Now I don't feature a lot of NI bands coz basically I'm sorry
to say I don't rate them. Then an email arrives with someone criticizing the site but
liking other bits and slagging Stiff Little Fingers. A bit of banter later and it
turns out its the old guitarist, Brian Young, from Rudi. Now I actually quite like the bloke now
not least because he rides a Triumph Bonneville and loves rockabilly and
gives the lowdown on SLF but because he loves his music. Anyway he supplied me
with enuff Rudi music and cuttings to fill a small bucket. Now
unfortunately I've listened to the cds and with the exception of Big Time
and a few others I still prefer SLF. I'm sorry Brian .....but.....

As if my magic tho and entirely unrelated another email arrives
praising Rudi this time by Joe Donnelly. Now I may not think
Rudi the best band in the world but other people do and as they've taken the
time to write and email me here's their view not mine. I don't enjoy criticizing
bands . I'd rather someone who liked them wrote in and said how much they liked
them and why. Enjoy it.

Brian (that's him on the
right) still plays to this
day.At the moment (well since circa 1993) its the rockabilly combo The Sabrejets who are actually rather
good so make a point of seeing them or buying their cds !!!!
I wanna hear their rockabilly version of Blitzkrieg
