| Dee
Generate aka Roger Bullen joined Eater
after Social Demise quit the band. Recommended and taught by Rat Scabies
Dee was the youngest drummer on the scene aged 14 at the time. Dee
plays on the first two singles and
No Brains on The
Album.
According to Dee in John Savages'
book 'England Dreaming'
Eater, before he joined and punked them up because he couldn't play at
slow speeds,
"...
didn't aspire to punk at all....they really wanted to be
like the Velvet Underground".
Dee on Punk
Rock... quote from fanzine Sniffin' Glue 6 January 1977..."I
don't know anything about 'punk'. I was just asked to join a band called
Eater and I did. I was wearing a ripped up t-shirt at the time. They
said "You must be a punk" and I said "oh yeah."
In his
book 'Vacant' Nils Stevenson
writes "Feb7 1977 Eater are the youngest group around.
They're still at school. Dee Generate, their drummer, is
only fourteen, and a lot of people want to f**k
him."
