In May 1978 a death occurred in the audience at a Depressions/Vibrators gig in Preston. It occurred after the last song of The Depressions set when two sets of rival football supporters clashed. The death and the following negative publicity effectively caused the Depressions to lose a lot of gigs and worse their guitarist.
