Atrix came out of the same Dublin theatre/cabaret scene as Jim Sheridan,
The Radiators, Neil Jordan, Agnes Bernelle, Liam Neeson, Daniel Day Lewis,
Peter Sheridan and The Virgin Prunes. At one point they and U2 were the
only game in town, though they perhaps sound more like XTC might if they
came from Dublin rather than Swindon and had grown up with Irish music
hall stars on the radio.

They went on to
make a few more singles and an album (Procession)
but this, their debut single, captures their eccentricity better than the
rest of their output. A fitting memorial to their free-spirited
singer/guitarist John Borrowman, who died a few years ago.
