The beauty of punk rock
was that it gave an opportunity to anyone with enough balls to get up
on stage and have a go. What it didn't do is make any promises regarding
the quality of those acts.
One of those contenders
was W12 Spots who
gained a moment of infamy when an article appeared in the Acton Gazette
of October 6th 1977 recounting their gig at the Priory Youth Centre. The
boys arrived with just two guitars and managed just two songs before
being asked to leave and that was the end of their career.
Short and sharp!
There's a moral there somewhere! |
