'Vacant': Diary Of The Punk Years - Nils & Ray Stevenson

Features some of the most well known punk photographs and is a peach. It also features recollections on punk by faces such as Jordan, Gaye Advert and TV Smith. Unfortunately it also features some overblown prose from Nils. I don't know if he means it but he comes over as a total jerk. He was in the right place at the right time and basically his whole life seemed to revolve around getting into Siouxsie's knickers. Read it and find out if he was successful. Sacked as part of the Pistols staff, he seems to mention he shagged a lot of punkettes. Was a failed junkie, failed musician with the banshees and  a failed manager of Siouxsie. His input helped break up one of the most innovative bands of the punk scene. Luckily they recovered. Still *****
