- James Stark (Research)
Published by the same outfit who brought us the Search and Destroy reprints. James was a photographer at the time and years later brought the book out as fanzine till it was eventually published in this format. For me a good rock'n'roll book should make you want to go and listen to the music and as I'm not a big fan of US punk and this made me want to this this is some feat. Written again in the protagonists words like 'Please Kill Me' and featuring great stories its worth getting, though Vale's sociological theories start to grate after a while. They are all there - Avengers, Nuns, Crime, Germs and so on. |
