All books try and document or to analyse or to explain why events happened and succeed or fail to varying degrees. This book is something special in that it succeeds in taking a moment of time capturing it and gives us a sense of the magic and excitement of that time. Quite simply its a pictorial history of The Roxy Club in Covent Garden in early '77.  But its more. The whole shebang. Its the fans, club, flyers and of course the bands that appear there. No words are needed. Fishnets, safety pins, fashion, rock'n'roll all captured in grainy black and white photos in the Roxy netherworld. Superb!
