The Spinal Tap of Punk and like them the parody was often indistinguishable from, and sometimes even better than, the real thing. Take a look at the lyrics below that are set to a Damned style tune. Hilarious. I remember watching them live on the old Grey Whistle Test while they simulated vomiting. My mum who was present at the time was not impressed. The band's name is a play on a dreadful seventies Paraguyan folk band whom I think were called Albertos Y Los Paraguayas. With these parodies on punk expectations were high for their album 'Italians From Outer Space'...but the laugh was on us as it was abysmal. In years to come they would become Pookiesnackenburger and parody American glam rock but that's another story.
